Use FileMaker client to open your served files over the Internet. FileMaker 7, 8 and 9 offer near-LAN speeds when the file is accessed over the Internet. - Instant Web Publishing - (Known as IWP)
This feature allows you to take your FileMaker solution directly to the web without needing to do any html or php programming. The look and feel of the web pages are very similar to your FileMaker layouts. IWP has serious limitations compared to using FileMaker client - it is not good for printing reports, and can not display dialog boxes for example. - Custom Web Publishing - (Known as CWP)
Use CWP to build robust web sites or front ends to FileMaker data. You'll need to program the site using etiher XSLT, or php in conjunction with HTML.
